A fun post! Looks like you've always been a pretty independent thinking changing the spelling of your name at 12. Sounds just like you! Comment from: Cyndee Haydon [Visitor] Lynda - you have me rolling on the floor - that's why you're my s'hero - you are so wise - I need you in my life! Yep, no wilting flower here - now you know that Jack's a saint after 21 years of marriage! :-) Comment from: Susie Roscoe [Visitor] What a fun post! YOU changed the name? I want to see your driver's license next time we get together. Did you do it LEGALLY??? I gotta know! Even funnier...you gave your kids EASILY SPELLED NAMES so they wouldn't have people mispell it all their lives. WHAT were you thinking???
Great post Cyndee!! NOW...where's Jack's 7 secrets?
~~Susie Roscoe~~ Brandon, FL Comment from: Mary De Luca [Visitor] Cyndee- I just had to come here today to see your sunset. It's 26 and cold here in DC. Brrrrr..... And my mother cut my hair when I was a kid for the same reason. That also confused people on whether I was a boy or a girl.
The funny thing is- I find myself telling my dog that he's getting a hair cut because his coat gets knotted and he won't let me brush it. So I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Thanks for the little bit of warmth with the sunset. Comment from: Missy Caulk [Visitor] How fun to do this out of the rain? Comment from: Mana Tulberg [Visitor] Cyndee, Love the picture of the sunset.
Well now I have to drink out of your painted wine glasses!! :0) Comment from: Cyndee Haydon [Visitor] Mary - glad to be your winter respite! Always got room in the hammock for you!
Missy - yep - it was a surprise and it worked out perfectly today!
Mana - you'd love them - gotta find a photo of them to share some time! Comment from: Sacramento Real Estate [Visitor] Cyndee, didn't know that spanish was your first language, too. Nice to learn a bit more about you. Comment from: Elaine Reese [Visitor] Well, that was a fun and interesting read. I went through a period of time where I also tried spelling my name with a 'y' - thought it looked better.
Can I crawl into the hammock as well. It's cold here too! Comment from: Cyndee Haydon [Visitor] Gena - looking forward to learning more about you too!
Elaine - there's always a spot for YOU in the hammock (and Murph too) - it's been rainy the last few days but warm and we always can use the rain. Comment on this article This post has no comments awaiting moderation. |

I spoke Spanish before I spoke English growing up and unfortunately didn’t use it and lost most of it – which is my only regret in life :-);
When I was 6 years old my brother and I spent the summer with my Grandmother in Guatemala and since my hair was fine and tangled easily my Mom went “low maintenance” and cut it so short before I left that everyone asked me if I was a boy or a girl all summer :-) I also have a younger sister.
