Clearwater Beach Library Set to Open Oct. 15
The Clearwater Beach Library will re-open its doors on Monday, Oct. 15 in a new temporary location next to the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center, 69 Bay Esplanade. The library will remain in this temporary location until summer 2008, when it will move into the Beach Recreation Center.
Construction will begin soon to expand the recreation center to accommodate a permanent location for the Beach Library. This merging of facilities, which is a result of last year’s Budget Task Force recommendations and recent state-mandated budget legislation, will save the city over $100,000.
The library’s new hours will be Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, contact the beach library at (727) 462-6890.
