Clearwater Florida Family shares Favorite Eco Friendly Wrapping Project
Even my youngest son can do a great job making one-of-a-kind eco-friendly gift wrapping. A few years ago we found rubber stamps on a roller – these are great for decorating larger items like butcher block paper and holiday cards on recycled paper.

My kids love using brown paper bags as wrapping paper and decorate the bags with their art works. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Comment from: Cyndee Haydon [Visitor] Mana - thanks for stopping by - it's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is only a week away. Hope you enjoy time with your family too. Comment from: Paula Henry [Visitor] Cyndee - That is a lot of waste! I buy the recycled paper to begin with, and it gets recycled again. Indianapolis is way behind on offering services for recycables, so many do not bother. The education center sounds like a great concept, especially for the children. If we can make them aware at an early age, their generation will make an even greater impact on environmental issues. Comment from: Ashley Drake Gephart [Visitor] I can remember over 25 years ago my mother started with "The Bag". She bought several gift bags and reused them every year. I knew which present was mine because it was in my bag! I hate the waste of gift wrap. I still use gift bags...over and over. - Ashley Comment from: Orlando Real Estate [Visitor] I just want to say I love your blog site! Great tip for going GREEN for Christmas. I no longer use plastic bags at the supermarket - I purchased those bags that can be reussed over and over again.
Happy holidays everyone! Keep up the great work, I love your site. Comment on this article This post has no comments awaiting moderation. |

Pinellas County Florida has invested in protecting our environment and one such example is their work to create
Green Gift Wrapping: One of our families favorite eco-friendly gift wrapping ideas is to purchase the brown lunch bags and use our rubber stamps to decorate them.
Eco-Friendly Decorations: For years we have combed the beaches and picked shells with a natural hole in them. We can then string them to make a one-of-a kind ornament and my youngest has even made special “shell jewelry” – it’s something everyone treasures.
